Sclera

The white of the eye

Cornea

The clear dome over the colored part of the eye.

Gas Permeable

A contact lens material which allows oxygen to pass through the plastic

Keratoconus

An eye condition in which the cornea becomes thin and protrusive, causing distorted vision, which can only be optically corrected by the use of rigid contact lenses.

Myopia

Fenestration

Small holes drilled through the material to allow easier removal of lens by releasing suction.
